News from Winter Park

The news from Clint's spring break is that he's snowed in. They were supposed to leave today coming home, but because of the "extra" snow, they are staying an extra day. Of course the week that my baby decides to go is the week that they have record breaking snow in Colorado!!! He's making the best of his extra time there. Here he is, a regular snow bunny....hehe

He sent these pictures with no text, so I don't know quite how to take this slope...Tweedle Dum?? I don't know if that means easy or dumb if you go on it???

The Beginning of Clint's Spring Break

Clint left Saturday evening headed for Winter Park, Colorado for a week of skiing. I will post more pictures when he gets home, but for now this is the news.......
The beautiful Rocky Mountains........

They arrived Sunday afternoon, parked the bus, got boots and skis, and........
the bus was stuck!!!!

They ended up calling a wrecker to pull them out.

So far, Clint's called and his friends have suffered torn ACL, busted chin, concussion, and altitude sickness....not necessarily in that order!!!! Clint is fine for the time being....I'm saying my prayers! This is the first time he's skied and is having a ball.

The report from his first day of skiing is that he "tried" the baby slope without the lessons....sat down soon and had to get ski patrol to take him back down the mountain....Took the lessons...and is doing well now! Will have more later!

KingBilly sings National Anthem at Bristol!

Once again our KingBilly star, Josh Matheny, has scored another first! The band was asked to sing the National Anthem at the Nascar race at Bristol today. They did an incredible job!!! We're so proud of you, Josh! (He's the third one from the left)

Prayers Needed...

Jessica's boyfriend, Lyndon, has a brother named Buster. Buster was diagnosed with lymphoma (sp?) today. They told him that he has the kind that is 98% curable, but he will have to go through extensive treatments. they have a very good attitude about this, but they really need fervent prayers. Please pray for Buster's recovery and the Waller family. Buster and his wife, Hailey have a precious little boy. See my earlier post in January of Marla and Jake's Birthday party to see a picture of Buster and Hailey.

Snow for Shea!

While we were at the races yesterday in Hot Springs it started snowing! It was only a few flurries at first, but then it really picked up! Of course we weren't lucky enough to have any accumulation, but it was so beautiful! I love snow!!! My cousin, Charlene, and her husband, Grant, joined us this weekend. Charlene called her little girl, Shea, to talk to her and tell her that it was snowing! Shea said, "Make a picture of the snow for me!" So Shea: This is for you! I made a picture of your mommy and daddy in the snow out front. I don't think you can see the flurries very well, so I also made a little movie. I hope you can see the snow, Shea!
