I have a few more pictures of more jack o lanterns that Jess made…
The Razorback is my favorite!
Last night was Jake’s and Sudie’s annual Halloween Party. True to form, the Weldon Family showed up dressed and ready to party! Chip was Cheech? Chong? Lefty? Poncho? …something of that sort! He was so funny because as soon as the hat and poncho went on he talked with an accent! It was like he couldn’t stop! Hilarious!!! I dressed as a witch. Wicked? Don’t know about that….ask my students. LOL. I missed winning the best female costume contest by one point! Guess I should have voted for myself! Clint was 50 Cent, the rapper. His costume was a t-shirt that had two quarters tapped to is chest with 9 red, bloody gunshot holes in his shirt (as 50 Cent was shot 9 times in the past). He even had a “grill” for his teeth! Jessica was cute school girl ( a little naughty I guess….don’t think that skirt would have passed the finger length test). Lyndon was the “nerd” of the school…guess he got lucky getting a date with Jess? :) He was totally in character too…He walked around like that all night! He won the best male costume!
My eyelashes were feathers…pretty effective! They were fun, but I was very happy to get home to get them off! They were so heavy!
I loved Chip’s face when he got home yesterday….he had no idea that I was dressing up…He was shocked! Clint’s grill looks like he has a mouth full of silver caps!
How does Jessica manage to look so beautiful even in a Halloween costume?
The nerd was so nerdy that he carried a spare pair of glasses in his pocket, in case the other pair broke! Talk about coke bottle!!! I could not stop giggling every time I saw him last night.
I guess Bubba Neal has been working as the electrician too long…he really needs to get off that construction site and clean up…and see a dentist! Bubba has a cute date, though! Guitar Bitty knows how to put together a costume!!
Here’s the winner of the best female contest: Michael Jackson….complete with dangling baby. Leigh definitely deserved to win! Too cute! I told her the only thing that was missing was her I.V. pole and bag! (excuse me Michael, I guess that was disrespectful!)
and we couldn’t have Michael at our party without a little moon-walking, now could we? Poor Blanket, I guess he was getting his dancing lessons?
Here’s Jake and Sudie…He was Tom Cruise from “Risky Buisness”…I could NOT believe he ran around there all night in his whitey tighties….it was forty degrees!!! lol He even was complete with his trophy pretend microphone!
Here’s a few more of my favorites of the night….
Beer Brad…He can make double use out of this costume…as the night went on his bottle top leaned to the side….It looked just like Gumby from the back! LOL
Cowgirl Amy
The Hippies…straight from Woodstock!
I told Jesse that this was NOT my favorite, but I had to put this in here to let my Louisiana cousins know that their LSU coach showed up at our party! :) (He’s from LA, so I guess I’ll forgive him)
Clay brought Strawberry Shortcake..Keeton (that’s her real hair!)
Where’s Scooby? Guess it was the mystery of the night, so they were there searching!!!
Richard Simmons came to the party with one of his (her?) lol Sweatin' To the Oldies dancers…..(NOT her real booty!)
Bumble Bee…..is Michael trying to give away his baby? :)
and we what party would be complete without a little dancing?
Is that Tom Cruise dancing with Richard Simmons????? Hummmmm….who knew???? :)
Dressing up is always so much fun! I love to see all the different things our friends can come up with!
Jessica’s love for carving Halloween Pumpkins began many, many years ago. Our cousin, Dean Peace, used to be around a lot when pumpkin carving time was near (hunting), but we’ll just say he came to carve pumpkins! lol He loved to share his expertise with Jessica, who always thought (and still thinks) Dean was the coolest.
This is Jessica with her second pumpkin of the evening…”the monsters”
Great job, once again, Jess!
It’s that time of year again….at our house it is a long time tradition that Jessica carve her Halloween pumpkin. She’s becoming quite the expert! She went pumpkin shopping today and came home with two of the biggest pumpkins I’ve ever seen! Clint was always on the sidelines when it came to pumpkin carving…the sight and smell of the insides ALWAYS made him throw –up….another long time tradition! :) Anyway, this year, he actually volunteered to cut out the top of her pumpkins, but then quickly exited the kitchen when the “guts” started coming out!
Jessica uses every opportunity to make fun of her brother!
Another Halloween tradition at our house is to watch scary Halloween movies….but the favorite of the whole house is “Hocus Pocus.” The kids have watched it so many times in the past years that the tape is worn out. They had it memorized. While at Walmart, Jessica found the DVD of Hocus Pocus! She purchased it on the spot, so that is playing in the background…..it’s precious to see them reciting each line as if they were trying out for the parts themselves! Guess they’ll still be kiddos forever!
Ok, on the the next step….applying the pattern to the pumpkin. Here Jessica takes the patter and punches little holes into the side of the pumpkin so she will know where to cut.
