I started this post many weeks ago and never published it…so better late than never! lol
We spent the Saturday of Memorial weekend on Albert Pike with our friends. This was our Plan B. We were suppose to camp, but our spots are still under water. They are dropping the lake about 15 inches a day until they tick off the people below the dam :-). It’s still a long way from being normal, but it’s getting there. I’ll post lake pictures later. We stayed in the cabins at Self Creek. They are extremely nice! We stayed in C5; as you can tell!
This is the front of our cabin.
This is the living area.
This is the hot tub! We’re enjoying the warm water!
Chip and I tried to share the chair in the room..tight squeeze!
Here are some of us ready for the ride. Clint, Hastin, Neal (he’s extra excited!), Heather, Bitty, Lynn holding Camryn, Marla, Steve, me and Chip.
This is just one of the trails that we toured.
Clint and Heather are ready to take off!
The boys were not very patient waiting to get started!
Neal, Bitty, Steve, and Marla.
Clint and I, clowning around…
Who’s that bandit?
Oh, there she is…not a bandit after all! Jessica and Lyndon.
and just why are we all standing around waiting????
Our group stopped at a pretty location to have our picture made.
Albert Pike is so beautiful…any time of the year!
We found a red turquoise mine….I personally thought they were pulling our legs, but we brought some home anyway!
Memorial Day was very rainy and cold. We spent the whole day at the houseboat/dock. Dreary weekend, but fun none-the-less!
Do y'all go anywhere and not have fun? Doesn't sound like it to me. I know we had a lot of fun riding up there.
